ABOUT
Hi Friends! A little bit more about me and how I got here...My name is Alex and I'm the owner of Simple Fitness LLC located in Richmond, Va. I graduated from James Madison University in 2014 with my Bachelor's degree in Health Sciences. After I graduated, I worked as a Physical Therapy Rehabilitation Technician for two years which is when I realized I wanted to pursue my passion in fitness. Over the next 6 years, I worked four jobs and started my own business on the side. I was the Assistant Group Fitness Director of all of the Crunch Fitness locations in Virginia, was a personal trainer at Zacharias Ganey Medical Weight Management Institute, coached high school track and taught group fitness classes. I started my personal training business, "Friends4Fitness" in 2018 and in 2020 left all of my jobs to work solely for myself.

Over the last ten years, I have worked with a wide variety of people, ages, body types with diverse backgrounds and the common variable I always notice is how people overcomplicate fitness. People genuinely want to improve their health, but they are overwhelmed and confused where to start. From restrictive eating plans and crazy workout routines, I found if people knew more about how their bodies and metabolisms work, they would understand how simple fat loss and health improvements can be. This is how Simple FItness was born. My approach is all about keeping things simple and making the process fun!
Keeping it in the Family
For those of you who dont know, the "T" stands for Tinkers, which was my parent's business for over 35 years. My Mom had her retail home decor and gift shop in the front of the building and my Dad ran his furniture restoration business in the back. In 2022, my Dad unexpectedly passed away and my Mom decided to close Tinker's. As much as I miss my Dad and Tinker's, it is a very special feeling being in the space where my parent's created their dreams and where I literally grew up.
My parents ran their small businesses with so much passion, love, kindness and integrity and everyday I come to work with a grateful heart knowing I want to be just like them. So whenever you walk into the studio or see little pieces of Tinker's, I hope you feel the passion, love and dedication that the Coleman family represents.
